描述
牙買加果蝠是一種中型蝙蝠，全長78-89毫米（3.1-3.5英寸），翼展96-150毫米（3.8-5.9英寸），重40至60克（1.4至2.1盎司） ）。它的耳朵寬闊但尖而有脊，有鋸齒狀的耳屏。其突出的鼻葉具有一系列皮脂腺。下唇上散佈著疣，中央有一個相對較大的疣。雙唇均可發現皮脂腺全脂腺。毛皮的背面是灰色或棕色的混濁陰影，有明顯的白髮底，臉上的毛皮圖案各不相同。果蝠的翅膀寬闊且深灰色。毛皮顏色較淺。蝙蝠沒有尾巴。它有寬闊的深灰色翅膀和狹窄的無毛的股間膜，短cal骨。轉錄組數據集包含超過25,000個帶註釋的轉錄本，可直接通過BLAST搜索。基因組組裝也已經產生。
