Description
The black-faced warbler (Abroscopus schisticeps) is a species of bush warbler (family Cettiidae). It was formerly included in the "Old World warbler" assemblage. It is found in Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

Feeding Habits
Black-faced Warbler consumes primarily tiny invertebrates. It forages in the upper canopy, among creepers, and performs short flycatching sallies to capture small flies. Black-faced Warbler displays restless feeding behavior within outer foliage and often joins mixed-species flocks, demonstrating a unique leaf-tumbling descent from upper to lower canopy layers.
Habitat
The black-faced Warbler typically resides in subtropical broadleaf evergreen forests characterized by moss-covered trees. These habitats often include ravine systems and are complemented by dense shrubby undergrowth and bamboo thickets, providing a rich environment for the species to thrive.
