The Moluccan owlet-nightjar (Aegotheles crinifrons), also known as the long-whiskered owlet-nightjar, is a species of bird in the family Aegothelidae. It is endemic to the northern Moluccas. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

Feeding Habits
Moluccan Owlet-nightjar primarily consumes small insects, catching them through sallying from perches or hover-gleaning from leaves, often returning to the same perch.
Habitat
The moluccan Owlet-nightjar typically resides in the dense foliage of lowland and hill forests, demonstrating adaptability by also occupying tall secondary growths, areas where the forest meets open land, and even in lightly wooded agricultural areas and coconut groves. These birds favor the ecological richness found in the expansive forest regions of tropical environments.
