Description
The Andean swift (Aeronautes andecolus) is a species of swift in the family Apodidae. They are native to South America.

Feeding Habits
Andean Swift forages in groups, often seen with the wintering C. pelagica, feeding on flying insects caught on the wing in agile, airborne hunts.
Habitat
The andean Swift predominantly inhabits arid and semi-humid montane scrublands, frequently found in semi-arid mountainous regions with bushy terrain or areas scattered with cacti. It also occupies humid montane scrub habitats, occasionally extending to more forested slopes across broader geographical highland regions.
