Description
The green-tailed sunbird (Aethopyga nipalensis) or Nepal yellow-backed sunbird is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae. It is found in the northern regions of the Indian subcontinent, stretching eastwards into parts of Southeast Asia. Its natural habitats are temperate forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. In southeast Szechwan and Yunnan, it lives in open mountain woods with moss-covered trees, from 1825 to 3350 meters elevation.

Feeding Habits
Green-tailed Sunbird primarily feed on nectar and small arthropods. They forage alone or in groups, from the canopy to lower levels, showcasing adaptability in feeding locations.
Habitat
The green-tailed Sunbird typically resides in a range of forest habitats, such as primary submontane and montane forests, woodlands, and scrub-jungles. These birds are also often found among rhododendrons, near flowering trees, within secondary growth areas, as well as in cultivated orchards and gardens, preferring regions with dense vegetation and rich floral resources.
