Description
The grey-bellied shrike-tyrant (Agriornis micropterus) is a species of bird in the family Tyrannidae. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. It is a large flycatcher at 24–25.5 cm (9.5–10.1 in) long. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland, and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.

Feeding Habits
Grey-bellied Shrike-tyrant primarily feeds on large insects, small mammals, lizards, frogs, and eggs or nestlings of other birds. They forage by perching visibly before hunting prey on the ground or mid-flight, and are known to run or fly low over terrain to catch food.
Habitat
Grey-bellied Shrike-tyrant typically inhabits open shrubby steppes, particularly those with Baccharis plants, as well as hillsides and puna grasslands that feature shrubbery and boulders. During the austral winter, these birds can also be found in open agricultural areas.
