Description
The striated bulbul (Alcurus striatus) is a species of songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is found from the eastern Himalayas to northern Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Feeding Habits
Striated Bulbul primarily feeds on berries and insects, commonly foraging in treetops and dense foliage, sometimes catching prey in brief flights. Often forages alone or in pairs, occasionally forming small groups.
Habitat
The habitat of striated Bulbul primarily includes lower-stature broadleaf evergreen forests, semi-deciduous forests, and moist forests characterized by oak and rhododendron species, as well as those dominated by Bucklandia and Lauraceae families. These birds are most frequently found in areas with tall trees and are known to emerge at forest edges but remain close to substantial arboreal cover.
