Description
The ochraceous bulbul (Alophoixus ochraceus) is a species of songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is found from Southeast Asia to Sumatra. It is usually found in the mid-storey of broad-leaved evergreen and rainforests up to 1500 metres elevation.

Feeding Habits
Ochraceous Bulbul primarily consumes berries, fruits like Phyllanthus emblica and figs, as well as insects, often swallowing fruits whole. They exhibit aerial sallying to catch termites mid-flight and may eat hornet larvae. Foraging in groups, ochraceous Bulbul feeds in trees and shrubs, sometimes displacing smaller birds.
Habitat
The habitat of ochraceous Bulbul primarily comprises broadleaf evergreen forests that are well-developed or in stages of regeneration, having recovered to a predominantly closed-canopy structure post-disturbance. These birds dwell in environments ranging from level lowlands to forested slopes.
