The red-headed weaver (Anaplectes rubriceps) is a species of bird in the family Ploceidae. It is placed in the monotypic genus Anaplectes and is found throughout the Afrotropics.

Habitat
Red-headed Weaver typically inhabits a variety of wooded environments. This includes dry forests, wooded savannas, riverine tree areas, bushlands, gardens, and cultivated lands. The species favors regions populated with broadleaf woodland, bushveld, acacia savanna, miombo woodland, and other well-treed habitats. They tend to reside in areas that are neither densely forested nor the densest woodlands, often avoiding the most extreme wet and dry conditions. Occasionally, red-headed Weaver can also be found in suburban gardens.
