  Feeding Habits
Andean Teal primarily consumes the same variety of foods as A. flavirostris, including aquatic plants, seeds, and small invertebrates. They exhibit similar foraging behaviors, involving dabbling in shallow waters. No unique dietary adaptations or preferences are noted.
    Habitat
The andean Teal typically inhabits freshwater ecosystems such as lakes, rivers, and marshes in high altitude mountainous regions. They thrive in environments comprising bogs, ponds, and creeks, adapting to the unique ecological conditions of these aquatic habitats. These areas are characterized by a rich diversity of flora and fauna, providing the andean Teal with necessary resources for feeding, breeding, and shelter.
