34 cm
Feeding Habits
Lesser Noddy mainly eats small fish and invertebrates, captured through aerial- or contact-dipping without plunge-diving. They feed in flocks, sometimes with Anous stolidus, and prefer dusk for feeding their young.
Habitat
The habitat of lesser Noddy is mainly pelagic, where these birds are typically found over open ocean waters when they are not in their breeding season. During breeding, they favor nesting on small, often remote, oceanic islets which provide a safe environment for raising their young away from mainland predators and disturbances.
Dite type
Piscivorous
