The Eastern Swift (Apus nipalensis) is a species of bird in the Apodidae family.

Feeding Habits
House Swift's diet predominantly comprises insects, with a major part being Hymenoptera (78%). They also consume Diptera, Coleoptera, Isoptera, and other insects, averaging a prey size of 6.5 mm. Preferring aerial foraging at high altitudes, house Swift exhibits gregarious behavior and can feed over 30 m off the ground, particularly over forests.

The house Swift predominantly resides in urban and suburban settings throughout broad regions of Asia. This species is adept at adapting to various environments, commonly foraging in areas ranging from busy cities to montane regions and wooded areas, even though it is less frequent in non-urban landscapes.
