Description
The yellow-eared spiderhunter (Arachnothera chrysogenys) is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Feeding Habits
Yellow-eared Spiderhunter feeds on insects, spiders, nectar, pollen, and small fruits, often foraging alone or sometimes in pairs within the canopy. It pollinates and favors nectar from plants like gingers and durian trees.
Habitat
The yellow-eared Spiderhunter typically inhabits a diverse array of forest environments, ranging from peatswamp-forests to mangroves, as well as secondary forests, and forest edges. It is also adaptable to human-modified landscapes, including plantations and gardens in broader geographical regions of its natural distribution.
