Description
The saffron-billed sparrow (Arremon flavirostris) is a species of bird in the family Passerellidae found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

The saffron-billed Sparrow inhabits the understory of tropical deciduous woodlands, particularly in the Atlantic forests, and gallery forests within the Cerrado and eastern Chaco. It is also found at the edges of tropical lowland evergreen forests, favoring second-growth and mature forests. Additionally, the saffron-billed Sparrow dwells in narrow gallery forests along waterways which are shaped by fire and other factors limiting vegetation expansion.
