Description
The moustached brushfinch (Atlapetes albofrenatus) is a species of bird in the family Passerellidae. It is found in northern Colombia, where its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and heavily degraded former forest.

The moustached Brushfinch resides in the undergrowth and midstory of moist subtropical and temperate forests, often abounding with oaks. It shows a preference for regions undergoing regrowth, such as clearings, and also thrives along dense roadside vegetation, especially where ferns and bamboo are prevalent. This species is adapted to edge habitats and can also be found in drier woodlands with ample undergrowth.
