Description
The yellow-striped brushfinch (Atlapetes citrinellus) is a species of bird in the family Passerellidae. It is found in the Andean foothills of northwestern Argentina. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.

Feeding Habits
Yellow-striped Brushfinch primarily feeds on invertebrates like beetles, ants, spiders, and various others, across seasons. It also consumes fruits from over 30 plant species, contributing to seed dispersal. Yellow-striped Brushfinch forages on and near the ground but also in understorey and canopy for fruits, usually in pairs or family groups.
Habitat
The yellow-striped Brushfinch is commonly found in various forested habitats, ranging from alder woodlands to the thick undergrowth and border regions of Yungas forests. It adapts to different stages of forest maturity, inhabiting both old, mature forests and secondary growth areas.
