Description
The fulvous-headed brushfinch (Atlapetes fulviceps) is a species of bird in the family Passerellidae. It is found in Argentina and Bolivia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and heavily degraded former forest.

Feeding Habits
Fulvous-headed Brushfinch consumes insects, seeds, and fruits, foraging from ground level up to 3 meters in shrubbery and on moss-laden branches. It forages alone or in pairs, occasionally sallying to catch insects in-flight.
Habitat
The fulvous-headed Brushfinch is typically found in semi-humid Yungas forest edges, moist woodland undergrowth, particularly near alders, as well as in wooded ravines and older secondary growths. The species is often associated with stream environments and is known to inhabit the outskirts of Polylepis forests. They favor regions with general environmental conditions that include forested areas with a degree of moisture and available underbrush for shelter.
