Description
The buff-throated foliage-gleaner (Automolus ochrolaemus) is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. It is found in Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical swampland.

Habitat
Buff-throated Foliage-gleaner thrives in tropical environments, favoring habitats such as lowland evergreen and lower montane forests. These include dense, mature forests with lush undergrowth, but also areas of secondary growth and man-made landscapes like coffee plantations. Typically found in regions characterized by transitional and seasonally flooded forests, as well as swampy areas and openings created by large fallen trees. Buff-throated Foliage-gleaner predominantly occupies altitudes from sea level up to 1000 meters, though it can be found up to 1650 meters in Middle America and 1400 meters in the Andes.
