Feeding Habits
Moss-backed Tanager primarily consumes fruits, such as Miconia majalis and Blakea podagrica, and arthropods. Moss-backed Tanager forages in both the canopy and sub-canopy, with a preference for fruits in the canopy and insects in the lower levels, and also feeds on epiphytes and parasitic plants.
