The sooty-capped puffbird (Bucco noanamae) is a species of puffbird in the family Bucconidae. It is endemic to Colombia. Its natural habitats are subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests and arable land. It is threatened by habitat loss.

This species is predominantly found in the understory of these habitats, within tropical lowland regions.
