Description
The striated fieldwren (Calamanthus fuliginosus) is a species of bird in the family Acanthizidae, endemic to Australia.

Feeding Habits
Striated Fieldwren primarily consumes arthropods, including various beetle species and other insects, occasional seeds, and even gastropods. Typically seen foraging on the ground or in low vegetation, either alone or in small family groups, striated Fieldwren may also consume bread.
Habitat
Striated Fieldwren primarily inhabits areas with low, dense vegetation such as heathlands, shrublands, and tussock grass fields. They are known to thrive in environments close to wetlands, coastal lagoons, streams, and swamps. This species is also found in clearings within softwood plantations, and in their Tasmanian range, they adapt to both dry and wet Eucalyptus forests, including occasional subalpine forests.
