Description
The brown barbet (Caloramphus fuliginosus) is a species of bird in the family Megalaimidae. It is found in Borneo. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. The sooty barbet was considered conspecific.

Feeding Habits
Brown Barbet mainly consumes fruits. Detailed data on its diet is scarce, but its foraging behavior is presumed to be similar to its relative, C. hayii.
Habitat
The brown Barbet is typically found in a variety of forested environments including primary lowland and hill dipterocarp forests, peat-swamp forests, secondary forests, and mangroves. It also inhabits wooded areas along coasts and within agricultural landscapes such as cacao plantations, favoring regions with dense tree cover.
