Description
The long-billed wren (Cantorchilus longirostris) is a species of bird in the family Troglodytidae. It is endemic to Brazil. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and heavily degraded former forest.

Feeding Habits
Long-billed Wren typically forages alone or in pairs close to the ground, favoring heights under 2 meters. Specific dietary preferences remain undocumented.
Habitat
The habitat of long-billed Wren encompasses secondary forests, shrubby clearings, and edges of forests. It is found in arboreal caatinga characterized by deciduous forests with interspersed cacti and bromeliads, as well as in mangrove ecosystems. The species is also observed in dense restinga vegetation, which is typical of white-sand areas adjacent to coasts. Long-billed Wren shows a preference for habitats that are not closely associated with water bodies.
