Description
The pink-rumped rosefinch (Carpodacus waltoni) is a species of finch in the family Fringillidae. It is found in central China and eastern Tibet. Its natural habitat is temperate grassland. Its most peculiar characteristic is the pink colour of its wings.

Feeding Habits
Pink-rumped Rosefinch likely consumes small seeds, foraging primarily on the ground near trees or bushes. Often observed feeding in pairs or small groups, with larger, mixed-species flocks in the non-breeding season.
Habitat
The habitat of pink-rumped Rosefinch typically encompasses montane and submontane dry valleys, as well as sparsely vegetated slopes and hillsides. These birds are also found in areas with alpine grassland, forest edges, and thickets of rhododendron, sea-buckthorn, and juniper scrub. Additionally, they inhabit the fringes of cultivated lands. During the non-breeding season, pink-rumped Rosefinch occupies similar habitats at somewhat lower elevations.
