Description
Gould's nightingale-thrush (Catharus dryas) is a species of bird in the family Turdidae native to Central America. It was first described in 1855 by English ornithologist John Gould.

Feeding Habits
Yellow-throated Nightingale-thrush primarily forages on the ground among leaf litter and on forest trails during twilight. It consumes a variety of insects and is known to feed at army-ant swarms, exploiting the disturbed prey.
Habitat
Yellow-throated Nightingale-thrush predominantly inhabits the undergrowth of humid and mossy montane forests, extending to foothills and subtropical (cloud) forests. These birds favor damp environments such as ravines and areas alongside forested streams. Geographically, they are found at various elevations, generally from 600 to 2300 meters in South America. In regions like Ecuador, they range from 400 meters up to 1800 meters, and in Venezuela, they are found from 900 to 2200 meters. In Middle America, their elevation range is between 1200 and 3000 meters.
