Description
The bay coucal (Centropus celebensis) is a species of cuckoo in the family Cuculidae. It is endemic to Indonesia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.

Feeding Habits
Bay Coucal primarily consumes large insects such as locusts and beetles, as well as spiders, foraging arboreally amongst lianas and foliage, sometimes in small groups. It exhibits unique associations with malkohas and macaque troops during feeding.
Habitat
The habitat of bay Coucal predominately comprises lowland and lower montane rainforests, characterized by dense vegetative structures such as lianas and rattan thickets. These birds adapt well to surrounding environments, as their range extends from forest edges into more open woodlands, scrublands, and areas of dense secondary growth.
