Description
The chestnut-crowned bush warbler (Cettia major) is a species of warbler found in South Asia. Although overall population size has not been quantified, this is one of the species that is declining due to habitat destruction. Although its population trend is observed to be decreasing, its decline is not happening in rapid fashion. For this reason, this is evaluated as least concern species.

13 cm
Feeding Habits
Chestnut-crowned Bush Warbler's diet is mainly small invertebrates and larvae. It forages in dense vegetation or on the ground, displaying secretive and mouse-like behavior, and sometimes appears on open clearings or paths.
Habitat
Chestnut-crowned Bush Warbler typically inhabits thick underbrush, including high-altitude fir forest ground vegetation and thorny scrub. They show a preference for rhododendron shrubberies within fir forests, particularly around the tree line, as well as dwarf rhododendron thickets found above the tree line. During the winter months, chestnut-crowned Bush Warbler moves to more open grassy and scrubby areas, often near water, and is occasionally found at the edges of forests in lowland regions.
