  The Sulawesi dwarf kingfisher (Ceyx fallax) is a species of bird in the family Alcedinidae that is endemic to Sulawesi island, Indonesia. The species has numerous common names such as Celebes forest kingfisher, blue-crowned kingfisher, Celebes dwarf-kingfisher, and Celebes pygmy-kingfisher. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.

  Feeding Habits 
  Sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher primarily consumes insects, employing a sit-and-wait hunting technique from perches to capture prey. Unique dietary adaptations or preferences are not well-documented. 
    Habitat 
  The habitat of sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher is primarily within primary lowland and hill forests, extending into selectively logged areas and tall secondary forests. Sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher is also present in certain plantation landscapes and secondary scrubs, particularly those dominated by Macaranga sp. and Piper aduncum. This species is versatile and inhabits regions that are not necessarily in close proximity to bodies of water.
