Description
The olivaceous thornbill (Chalcostigma olivaceum) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Peru and Bolivia. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.

Olivaceous Thornbill is typically found in relatively humid puna grasslands associated with cushion plants. It can occasionally be seen in low scrub areas or on the periphery of dense woodlands dominated by Polylepis and Gynoxys species.
