The glistening-green tanager (Chlorochrysa phoenicotis) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Males are almost entirely bright glistening emerald green, with small gray patches behind and below the eye with another on the shoulders. Females are slightly duller than males.

Feeding Habits
Glistening-green Tanager primarily eats small arthropods, such as larvae (62%), and fruits like Melastomataceae berries (38%), particularly Miconia berries. Glistening-green Tanager forages from the understorey to the canopy, often upside-down or on mossy surfaces. It prefers mixed-species flocks, gleaning prey from foliage and epiphytes with acrobatic agility.
Habitat
The habitat of glistening-green Tanager consists primarily of the canopy and edges of wet, mossy forests, often referred to as cloudforests, as well as mature secondary growth. These birds inhabit regions characterized by lush, moisture-rich vegetation and a generally high humidity environment.
