Description
The lesser green leafbird (Chloropsis cyanopogon) is a species of bird in the family Chloropseidae. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Feeding Habits
Lesser Green Leafbird primarily eats arthropods and fruits, including figs and diverse berries, and occasionally consumes flower nectar. It gleans insects from foliage and chases flushed prey. Fruits up to 27 mm are consumed, with tough ones pierced by lesser Green Leafbird's bill to extract contents. Rarely observed feeding on nectar by puncturing blossoms. Lesser Green Leafbird forages alone or in pairs and may join mixed-species flocks.
Habitat
The habitat of lesser Green Leafbird typically encompasses the upper canopy and edges of lowland evergreen forests, including both mature and regenerating secondary forests, as well as peatswamp-forests. These birds are also found in clearings with fruiting trees and shrubs, as well as areas with dense shade in plantations, and occasionally strand woodlands along coasts. The species primarily inhabits regions characterized by dense, green foliage with abundant fruiting vegetation.
