Description
The Bornean leafbird (Chloropsis kinabaluensis), also known as the Kinabalu leafbird, is a species of bird in the family Chloropseidae. It is found in humid forest in Borneo, to which it is endemic (elevated areas, including the Meratus Mountains). It has traditionally been considered a subspecies of the blue-winged leafbird (C. cochinchinensis), but differ in measurements and morphology, the female Borneon leafbird having a distinctive male-like plumage. The distribution of the two are known to approach each other, but there is no evidence of intergradation.

Feeding Habits
Bornean Leafbird consumes berries and dragonflies, foraging solitarily, in pairs, or small groups. Occasionally joins mixed-species flocks to forage.
Habitat
The bornean Leafbird is typically found in a variety of forested habitats, including the canopies and surrounding high edges of hill dipterocarp forests as well as both lower and upper montane forests that are mature and well-regenerated. Generally, these birds occupy regions characterized by evergreen forests on the upper submontane slopes and are known to replace closely related species in higher altitudes within broader montane zones.
