Description
The blue-masked leafbird (Chloropsis venusta) is a species of bird in the family Chloropseidae. It is endemic to humid montane forest on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It is the smallest species of leafbird. It is considered near threatened due to habitat loss.

Feeding Habits
Blue-masked Leafbird primarily consumes fruit seeds, insects, and arthropod eggs. Typically, blue-masked Leafbird forages in pairs or small groups of up to six. Specific feeding behaviors are not well documented.
Habitat
The blue-masked Leafbird typically resides in the canopies of evergreen forests, both lowland and lower montane, favoring areas that are mature and have undergone significant regeneration. These birds are also found in the vegetative fringes surrounding forest clearings, predominantly occupying the lower montane zones.
