The scarlet-and-white tanager (Chrysothlypis salmoni) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is found in Colombia and northern Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.

These birds are typically found in regions marked by tall, wet forests, frequenting openings, light gaps, and disturbed patches where dense, mossy regrowth occurs. They are more common in foothill areas with such environmental conditions.
