Description
The chestnut-breasted quail-thrush (Cinclosoma castaneothorax) is a small endemic Australian bird which is predominantly found within the semi-arid desserts of New South Wales, Queensland and Perth.

Feeding Habits
Chestnut-breasted Quail-thrush primarily consumes insects, spiders, and seeds, with prey sizes ranging from 1-7 mm. Chestnut-breasted Quail-thrush forages on the ground, using a slow, pecking method to catch food, and dismembers larger items by holding them underfoot.
Habitat
Chestnut-breasted Quail-thrush thrives in semi-arid and arid zones characterized by dry woodland scrub. These birds are particularly associated with mulga woodlands (Acacia aneura) that feature a scanty understorey. The preferred terrain is often stony, providing a suitable environment for chestnut-breasted Quail-thrush to forage and nest.
