Description
It is gray with a rufous face and breast and brown back. The male has dark streaks on his breast while the female has pale streaks.

Habitat
The habitat of rufous Treecreeper is primarily in open woodlands and mallee scrub, characterized by dominant eucalypt species like wandoo, powderbark, brown mallet, salmon gum, and various mallees. These environments often contain a grassy or shrubby understorey. Rufous Treecreeper is also prevalent in tall sclerophyll forests with jarrah and marri trees, accompanied by a dense understorey comprising banksias, casuarinas, or heath.
