Description
The blue-throated starfrontlet (Coeligena helianthea) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in the Andes of Colombia and far western Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.

Feeding Habits
