Feeding Habits
Rufous-browed Conebill primarily consumes small insects, foraging mostly at the tops of shrubs and small trees. Rufous-browed Conebill probes dense foliage and twigs, often alone or in pairs, occasionally joining mixed-species flocks but typically feeds independently.
Habitat
The rufous-browed Conebill thrives in environments with bushy and shrubby vegetation, ranging from fairly dry to humid conditions. It is commonly found along the edges of humid and wet stunted forests and elfin woodlands, as well as on drier hillsides with Andean oak. Additionally, rufous-browed Conebill inhabits mixed tree areas within parks, urban gardens, and small wetlands, often venturing out to forage in dense reeds and sedges of marshes. It is typically seen in open areas rather than deep inside forests.
