Description
The hooded gnateater (Conopophaga roberti) is a species of bird in the family Conopophagidae. It is endemic to northern Brazil. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest.

Habitat
The hooded Gnateater favors densely vegetated and tangled undergrowth within forests, typically near forest edges. It inhabits both primary and mature secondary growth forests ranging from evergreen varieties in the west to seasonally dry forests in the east of its distribution.
