Description
The creamy-crested spinetail (Cranioleuca albicapilla) is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. It is endemic to Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.

Creamy-crested Spinetail is typically found in semi-humid woodlands and scrublands characterized by a diverse array of plant species including Ambrosia, Baccharis, Berberis, and others. They inhabit areas with varying degrees of human disturbance and can also be present in humid montane cloud forests, often associated with Podocarpus trees or Eugenia-Escallonia species. Creamy-crested Spinetail is known to adapt to fragmented and degraded environments, including agricultural landscapes. They show a particular affinity for dense, tall Polylepis woodlands in less disturbed areas.
