Description
The hooded treepie (Crypsirina cucullata) is a species of bird in the family Corvidae. It is endemic to Myanmar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. It is threatened by habitat loss. It has grey plumage apart from black head, tail and flight feathers.

Feeding Habits
Hooded Treepie primarily consumes insects including grasshoppers, locusts, mantids, and winged termites. It forages within dense foliage and the lower to middle canopy, either alone, in pairs, or family groups, occasionally forming larger flocks.
Habitat
The hooded Treepie typically resides in lowland open dry forests, favoring areas with patches of deciduous woodland. Additionally, hooded Treepie can be found in bamboo stands, thorn-scrub jungles, areas with mixed secondary growth, and clearings near villages, thriving in the plains associated with major river systems in broadleaf forests.
