Feeding Habits
Cream-colored Courser primarily consumes insects like beetles and grasshoppers, as well as molluscs and occasionally small lizards. It forages by running and picking prey off the ground, can catch locusts mid-air, and may dig with its bill, exploiting diverse environments for food sources.
Habitat
The cream-colored Courser is typically found in arid and semi-arid environments characterized by flat desert and semi-desert terrains. These include both stony and sandy landscapes such as dune troughs, often with minimal but present vegetation. Its preferred habitats extend to short-grass plains, gravel areas, salt flats, and regions sparsely populated with Acacia trees. The cream-colored Courser also adapts to semi-cultivated steppes and may frequent areas near gravel roads in warm to hot climates.
