Description
The chestnut-breasted wren (Cyphorhinus thoracicus) is a species of bird in the family Troglodytidae. It is found in the Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and western Bolivia. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

The chestnut-breasted Wren predominantly resides in wet montane forests, which often include secondary growth areas and are characterized by heavy moss coverage and an epiphytic cloudforest environment. It typically inhabits regions where the vegetation provides substantial ground cover, thriving in habitats with dense undergrowth that is within one meter of the forest floor.
