Description
The pink-headed imperial pigeon (Ducula rosacea) is a species of bird in the family Columbidae found in the Lesser Sunda Islands of Indonesia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist shrubland. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Feeding Habits
Pink-headed Imperial Pigeon primarily eat figs and flower buds, particularly from the Ficus and Ceiba pentandra trees. They forage in flocks, showing a social feeding behavior, sometimes alongside D. concinna.
Habitat
The pink-headed Imperial Pigeon thrives in diverse forest environments, particularly within primary and robust secondary forests near coastal areas, as well as in lowland to hill forests. It favors regions with woodland scrub and tree-dotted agricultural land, predominantly occupying the upper canopy. While typically associated with small island ecosystems, the pink-headed Imperial Pigeon is also observed along coastlines of larger island landscapes and, less frequently, in inland territories.
