Feeding Habits
Olivaceous Elaenia consumes insects, fruits, and berries, foraging from forest undergrowth to canopy. It utilizes perch-gleaning and sallying tactics to hunt and is adaptable in feeding locations.
Habitat
Olivaceous Elaenia predominantly inhabits the interior regions of humid tropical and upper tropical forests, often frequenting areas such as forest borders and gallery forests. These birds are also adapted to living in woodlands and may occasionally be found in nearby clearings. They mainly reside in the forest interior, particularly in zones that do not overlap with the range of E. parvirostris, which prefers woodland borders.
