Habitat
The habitat of white-tailed Hummingbird generally encompasses humid montane forests, forest edges including those adjoining plantations, as well as semideciduous and pine-oak forests. These birds are particularly prevalent in densely vegetated humid canyons and are reliant on intact forest environments. While they may inhabit coffee plantations that are near forests, they do not dwell in areas where coffee is cultivated under shade trees.
