Description
The white-lored euphonia or golden-bellied euphonia (Euphonia chrysopasta) is a songbird species of the family Fringillidae, having recently been moved there from the Thraupidae. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical swamps.

Feeding Habits
White-lored Euphonia primarily consumes fruits and insects, often foraging in pairs or small groups high in the forest canopy. They typically feed on mistletoe and fruits in trees, searching for insects on thin twigs. Unique to its diet, white-lored Euphonia may exclusively ingest seeds at times. Feeding also occurs lower at forest edges when fruiting shrubs are available.
Habitat
The white-lored Euphonia predominantly inhabits the dense canopy layer of humid terra firme and várzea forests. This species is also found in areas with scattered trees, such as shady clearings, edges of forests, and tall second-growth woodlands, primarily within lowland regions.
