Feeding Habits
Finsch's Euphonia primarily feeds on small fruits and berries, like mistletoe berries, and possibly consumes insects. This bird forages in pairs or groups, wandering forest borders and visiting fruiting vegetation, occasionally feeding with other Euphonia species. It's known for perching on bare twigs and chattering from treetops.
Habitat
Finsch's Euphonia predominantly inhabits the edges of gallery forests and bushy savannas that have sporadic trees. This species is closely associated with sandy-soil savannas, especially where patches of woodland and isolated trees are found.
