  Feeding Habits
Oriental Hobby primarily feeds on insects, small birds, and bats. Oriental Hobby employs exposed perches to launch strong flights for aerial prey capture, often returning to perches to eat. Oriental Hobby also catches dragonflies over water, predominantly hunts at dawn and dusk, and may join swallows in insect hawking.
    Habitat
Oriental Hobby thrives in diverse forested environments from sea-level mangroves to 2600-meter-high deciduous and evergreen forests. This bird displays remarkable habitat versatility, also frequenting open areas like scrubland and agriculture-dominated landscapes.
