  Feeding Habits
Sapphire Flycatcher's diet consists predominantly of small invertebrates and larvae. Generally foraging solitarily or in pairs, sapphire Flycatcher often joins mixed-species flocks in winter. Actively searching tall undergrowth and tree canopies, it exhibits an occasionally aerial hunt or ground forage. Sapphire Flycatcher is known for a characteristic tail and wing flick.
    Habitat
Sapphire Flycatcher primarily inhabit moist evergreen broadleaf hill and montane forests. They are typically associated with regions featuring dense canopy coverage and lush undergrowth. During the non-breeding season, sapphire Flycatcher adapts to a wider range of wooded environments, including more open woodlands, forest peripheries, and cultivated areas with substantial tree presence.
